The MasterSil 773 is an ultra low viscosity one part silicone conformal coating that features convenient room temperature cure. This silicone coating offers outstanding protection to electronic circuitry in high humidity environments and resistance to shock and vibration. This condensation cured system polymerizes rapidly at ambient temperatures by moisture in the air—the higher the humidity the faster the rate of cure. After cross-linking, the cured system is very flexible and has a low Shore A hardness. MasterSil 773 has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, many plastics and rubbers, along with electronic circuitry materials. Another noteworthy attribute is its electronic insulation profile. The low viscosity enables this silicone coating to be applied by a wide variety of methods including dip coating, spraying, brushing or flow coating either manually or by machine. While curing MasterSil 773 exerts almost no stress on components and after curing it is easily repairable. The service temperature range is -80°F to +300°F. One very interesting physical property of this system is exceptionally low modulus of elasticity and this value is retained over its entire temperature range. MasterSil 773 has wide applicability as a conformal coating in a large array of electronic applications because of its unique blend of properties it possesses both prior to and after curing.
