Ultra violet light sensor ML8511

The ML8511 developed by LAPIS Semiconductor, a ROHM group company, is a UV sensor designed to detect ultra violet rays with silicon (Si) device using the original Silicon On Insulator (SOI) technology. The device measures the amount of ultra violet rays contained in sunlight, and is used for the equipment which displays the suntan by the ultra violet rays, the guidance of UV care of skin, etc. The design is ideal for mobile computing device, such as smart phones, mobile phones, and watches.
