A family of electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs), or ultracapacitors, and power modules targets military, transportation, and alternative-energy applications. The ultracapacitors provide energy storage by recycling the energy captured during braking. When used in combination with batteries or other energy sources, they reduce power drain and extend its available life up to 400%.

The ultracapacitor family is composed of eight members including the 100–F, 2.7–V, the 350–F, 2.7–V, the 400–F, 2.7–V, the 600–F, 2.7–V, 2,000–F, 2.7–V ultracapacitors, the 220–F, 2.3–V, 800–F, 2.3–V, 1,000–F, and 2.3–V pseudo-capacitors.
