The 60-W BM60 BladeAdapter series features an ultra-thin profile that targets medical devices. It measures 5.0 x 2.56 x 0.87-in. and is 34% thinner with 28% less volume than typical 60-W medical adapters. The power supply is compliant with the new 4th Edition of IEC60601-1-2:2014, which becomes effective in February of 2016. It meets the more severe EMC immunity requirements for professional, home healthcare and emergency medical environments. Additionally, the product satisfies the new US Department of Energy Level VI energy efficiency requirements with less than 200-mW no-load power consumption and average efficiencies from 89-92% for 12-V output models and above.
The power adapter series operates from 90 to 264 Vac with outputs from 5 to 53.5 Vdc. It has 11 standard output voltages, including 5, 9, 12, 15, 18, 19, 24, 28, 36, 48 and 53.5 Vdc options. The adapter is specified for operation up to 60°C with derating. A peak power rating of 90 W for up to 1 s makes them particularly well suited for driving motors and pumps with highly capacitive and inductive loads, such as CPAP & BPAP breathing devices.
