UPS allows upgrading by user
The AccuSelect uninterruptible power supply is available with
interchangeable add-in cards that enable the user to match the level of
communications dictated by their applications. Cards are available to
transmit signals by cable from the UPS to the protected device giving an
on-battery or shutdown indication; two-way RS-232 serial communication on
a local network; or bidirectional communication via an Ethernet or Token
Ring network. The supply is available in 600- and 900-VA sizes. A boost
circuit prolongs battery life during brownouts, and a front-panel LED
display shows operating status. Internal self-diagnostic circuits perform
local or remote troubleshooting. The 600 VA UPS measures 5.3 x 8.1 x 15
in., while the 900 VA UPS 6.9 x 10.2 x 15.4 in. (600-VA unit, $649; 900-VA
