USB 3.0, DisplayPort ICs aid signal integrity
The PI2EQX7741ST, QX7742ST, QX7745, and QX7502 USB 3.0 (5.0 Gbits/s) ReDrivers and the PI3EQXDP1201 four lane DisplayPort 1.2 (5.4 Gbit/s) ReDriver provide programmable equalization and de-emphasis to optimize performance over a variety of physical mediums and reduce inter-symbol interference. The USB redrivers have single port, dual port, single channel, and one port-industry P2P versions.
The single channel PI2EQX7745 USB device takes only 160 mW and has auto slumber mode for adaptive power management and a stand-by mode/power down state. The display port device supports four lanes for a total bandwidth of 17.28 Gbits/s and has automatic power management including auto power down for unused lanes. It also has auto EQ adjustment, auto data-rate selection, and aux link training, and comes in a 7 x 7 mm TQFN package. ($0.99 to $1.95 ea/10,000 available now.)
