USB 3.0 redriver ICs feature tiny package

Three unidirectional SuperSpeed USB 3.0 repeater/redriver ICs feature a tiny 3 x 3 mm TQFN package. The single channel PS8711 has both pin- and I2C-configurable performance controls, the dual-channel PS8722 has pin-configurable performance controls, and the dual-channel PS8725 has I2C-configurable performance controls.

The devices are offered in 1.5 and 3.3 V power supply versions. The chips programmable equalization and driver circuits provide signal reconditioning for long data link applications. They support hot plug with automatic receiver detect and have 50 Ω terminations on inputs and outputs. ($1.00 to $1.50 ea/high volume — samples available now.)
