The LTC4067 USB power manager and Li-ion/polymer charger with 13-V overvoltage protection (OVP) is a full-featured battery charger with 4.2-V float voltage and guaranteed 0.8% accuracy over the full industrial temperature range. Features include a programmable charge current up to 1.5 A, a bad-battery time-out detection, and an internal 2-hour termination timer from onset of voltage-mode charging.
Additional charger functions include thermal regulation, automatic recharge, NTC thermistor input, and trickle charge. Housing is in 12-lead DFN packages and temperature range is from –40° to 85°C. (From $1.70 ea/1,000—available now.)
