The FSA800 USB accessory switch integrates built-in charger detection, 28 V of overvoltage tolerance, built-in termination resistors, and negative swing capability, all in a 1.8 x 2.6 x 0.55-mm UMLP package. The switch isuits USB port isolation, connector sharing, and signal multiplexing.
The device can handle USB data, stereo and mono audio, microphone, and UART data all on a common connector port and is said to be the only switch able to handle microphone data. The switch is designed to be compliant with USB2.0 Full Speed (FS) and Hi-Speed (HS) with bandwidths in excess of 720 MHz. It also offers an on-capacitance of 7 pF. ($0.70 ea/1,000 — samples, now.)
