VCO features low power consumption

Well suited for mobile radio and test instrumentation applications, the SMV2950A-LF VCO operates at 2,850 to 3,050 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0 to 2.5 Vdc. This compact VCO features phase noise of -85 dBc/Hz at 10-kHz offset while operating off a 3.0-Vdc supply and typically drawing 15 mA of current.

In addition this device provides the end user typical output power of 3±3 dBm into a 50-Ω load while operating over the industrial temperature range of –40° to 85°C. Housed in a standard SUB-L package measuring a mere 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.08 in, this VCO suppresses the second harmonic to better than -15 dBc and covers the frequency range with a tuning linearity of better than 1.1:1.
