VCO targets satellite comm systems

Ideal for satellite communication systems, the SMV5550B-LF VCO generates frequencies between 5,000 and 6,000 MHz, covering the 1,000 MHz bandwidth within 0 to 10 V of control. The part offers a phase noise performance of -80 dBc/Hz, typically, at 10 kHz from the carrier.

Housed in a compact package covering an area less than 0.10 in2 , the VCO delivers 3 ± 3 dBm into a 50 W load with a nominal 5 V supply and drawing typically 24 mA.
