PE3 vents for portable electronics are said to deliver the highest airflow of black venting solutions for OEMs while providing immersion protection. The level of airflow lets OEMs use a smaller vent to improve product integrity and reliability.
While providing a typical airflow of 3,300 ml/min/cm3 , the vents enable devices to meet Level 7 of the IEC’s liquid ingress protection standard (IPx7) — immersion protection at 1 m for 30 minutes. When mounted on the exterior of dark electronic devices, the vent’s black oleophobic membrane and gray PET nonwoven backing also minimize contrast.
