Vertical sockets offer 0.1-mm coplanarity

The FCN-078J series vertical surface-mount DDR2 DIMM socket connectors can achieve 0.1-mm coplanarity before and after reflow. Measuring 22.7 x 140 mm, the 240-position RoHS-compliant sockets also feature dual latching mechanisms and a patented split-beam contact structure said to improve module mating reliability.

The sockets have heat-resistant tape on the top, as well as solder bars in the middle and on the outside edges for accuracy when soldering. Operating temperature range is –55° to 85°C, with a voltage rating of AC25 V and a maximum current rating of 0.5 A per contact. ($3 ea/10,000 — available now.)
