VIA Eden-based SBC handles multimedia

The EPIA N700-10EW Nano-ITX single-board computer uses a 1.0-GHz VIA Eden ULV CPU and features optional 20° to 70°C operation. The 12 x 12-cm board includes quad USB 2.0, COM, GbE Ethernet, and VGA ports.

The card has 1 or 2 Gbytes of DDR2 667 memory and a VX800 media coprocessor with DirectX9 graphics core and hardware-accelerated video playback for MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV9, VC1, and DiVX formats. It has a Type I CompactFlash port, an IDE port, and a Mini-PCI slot. (From $400 retail available now.)
