Video filter amp is industry’s smallest
Enabling SD video playback from portable devices to any television, the MAX9519 analog filter amplifier is offered as the industry’s smallest (at 1 x 1 mm) and lowest-pin-count amplifier of its kind — consuming 30% less board space than competitive active-filter amplifiers and 50% less space than passive-filter solutions. The device features the company’s SmartSleep technology, which reduces current consumption to 1 μA in shutdown mode and eliminates the need for external shutdown circuitry.
The MAX9519 only turns on and enters its full operating mode when it detects both video playback and a live connection to the television. The integrated sixth-order filter features ±1-dB passband flatness up to 9 MHz and 48.5-dB attenuation at 27 MHz, thereby ensuring signal integrity in ultracompact designs.
