Housed in a 10-pin microMAX package, the MAX9532 analog video filter amplifier drives SD video connections to an in-dash or rear-seat automotive display. Designed specifically to withstand the harsh operating conditions in automotive applications, the part integrates short-to-battery protection up to 18 V on the video output, thus eliminating the need for an external series resistor.
The filter is based on DirectDrive technology, which allows it to operate from a single 3.3 V supply while driving an industry-standard video signal without a dc offset. The integrated high-order filter features ±1-dB passband flatness up to 9.5 MHz and 42-dB attenuation at 27 MHz. Operating voltage is from 2.7 to 3.6 V, and temperature range is from –40° to 125°C.
