Video of the Day: Apple’s Siri interrupts a White House briefing

The iPhone’s personal assistant had its own two cents to add to an important meeting

Just about every iPhone user has experienced accidentally turning on Siri, but how about when the digital personal assistant interrupts a White House briefing? It’s got to be the best one by far.

It was during a serious question about President Obama’s Iran policy from a member of the press at a White House briefing when Siri decided to rudely interrupt, saying “Sorry, I’m not sure what you want me to change.” Of course, this altered the whole feel of the meeting, as everyone began laughing.

Though it’s not clear who set Siri off while watching this video, C-SPAN put out a video showing a woman to the right of the journalist flash a guilty look to the speaker before finding the humor in the situation. Busted.

Apple users beware: this most likely won’t be the first time Siri decides to butt into such a conversation. This will likely happen more often with the iPhone 6’s new “Hey Siri” feature, which can be triggered at any time.
