Video SerDes chipset is specified for automotive
The DS90UR905Q serializer and DS90UR906Q deserializer chipset can drive high-resolution, 24-bit color flat-panel displays with a 5 to 65-MHz clock. The chips use a LVCMOS parallel interface. The DS90UR907Q/908Q version of the pair has an LVDS interface.
The chipset translates a parallel RGB video interface into a high-speed serialized interface over a single-pair cable. The chips can connect a graphics host processor to central-information displays, rear-seat displays, console displays, and instrument-panel displays. They come in 48- and 60-pin LLP packages and are specified over the –40° to 105°C automotive AEC-Q100 grade 2 temperature range. (DS90UR905Q and DS90UR906Q $7.50 ea/1,000 — prod qty, 4th qtr.)
