For testing HDMI v1.3 components and systems, the 882EA video test instrument is a combination generator/analyzer that provides dual HDMI/DVI Tx/Rx outputs/inputs. The instrument generates and analyzes 36-bit-deep color video so designers can verify that HDMI ports are well integrated and functioning properly.
The video tester’s Silicon Image chips can generate and analyze triple 12-bit-component colors in 4:4:4 sampling mode up to 165 Mpixels/s. The instrument’s scan converter lets users view incoming content on a high-res display with pixel-to-pixel accuracy and arbitrary (fixed) timing.
