The TDA2xA, TDA2xV, TDA2xF vision accelerator SoCs target front camera, surround view, and sensor fusion, respectively, in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Each has two C66x DSP cores, two to four vision accelerator cores with 10.4 GMACs each (Vision AccelerationPac), two Cortex-A15 cores, two dual Cortex-M4 cores, up to six camera inputs and multiple display outputs. The chips have up to 2.5 Mbytes of RAM with ECC and take just 2 to 5 W at Tj 125ºC.
The TDA2x ICs enable park assist applications including intelligent 2D and 3D surround view and rear collision warning and can also run a pedestrian/object detection algorithm for a front camera. They also may serve as a central processor for fused radar and camera sensor data, allowing more robust ADAS decision making. TDA2x EVM is an evaluation platform designed to speed up development efforts. The TDA2x is currently sampling and is intended for high-volume automotive manufacturers.
