VMEbus mezzanine board runs GUIs

As an IndustryPack add-on, the board answers the need for a GUI interface
in the industrial automation environment

As part of the company's range of IndustryPack boards, the IP-SVGA
single-wide board answers the need for a graphical user interface (GUI) in
the industrial automation environment. The board runs both Microware's
Rave and Gespac's G-Windows–two of the more popular GUI software
packages. The board avoids the need to use up valuable slots for DOS-based
CPUs and graphics controller boards for graphical interfaces. Based on
Cirrus Logic's CL-GD5422 SVGA controller, the IP-SVGA supports either 256
or 512 Kbytes of video memory. The board has all the requisite filters and
cable drivers, as well as a super VGA cable for direct connection to
standard VGA and super VGA monitors. The IndustryPack provides a direct
connection to the CPU, freeing VMEbus bandwidth and speeding
communication. (512-Kbyte, $395–4 weeks ARO.) Greenspring Computers
