The IR384xWM and IR383xWM Gen2.1 SupIRBuck regulators feature control IC, MOSFET, and package integration technologies to deliver 12-A output current in a thermally enhanced 5 x 6-mm power QFN package. They handle input voltages from 1.5 to 16 V and deliver output voltages from 0.7 V to 90% of the input voltage with peak efficiency >96%. The devices offer programmable switching frequencies up to 1.5 MHz.
The Gen2.1 regulators eliminate the need for traditional dual-stage POL conversions by operating directly from 12 V. They provide pin-compatible current options from 2 to 12 A and have a power-good output window comparator for overvoltage and undervoltage detection.
