Vote of confidence: Infineon board extends CEO’s contract five years

The Supervisory Board of Infineon Technologies voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Reinhard Ploss to five years as Chief Executive Officer. The existing contract would have expired on September 30, 2015 and has now been extended to 2020.

Leading the company since 2012

Dr. Reinhard Ploss has been a member of the Infineon Management Board since 2007, and Chief Executive Officer since October 2012. Reinhard Ploss is a process engineer and joined the company in 1986, which was an operation of Siemens AG until 1999.
