Vulcan Flex Circuit Awarded $2.7 Million Military Contract

LONDONDERRY, N.H., March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Vulcan Flex Circuit Corporation (VFCC), a division of Vulcan Electric Company, announced today that it has been awarded a $2.7 million contract by L-3 Communications, Fuzing and Ordnance Systems (L-3 FOS), for flexible circuits.

This particular award is in support of a highly sophisticated proximity fuze developed by the U.S. Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey and manufactured by L-3 FOS in Cincinnati, Ohio. VFCC has been supporting L-3 FOS on this program for over 15 years from initial product development, prototyping and qualification, to high rate production.
