At CES 2014, Lumo BodyTech premiered a wearable gadget for slouchers to worship. The wearable gear, called Lumo Lift, senses how your body is positioned. When the user is slouching, the device emits vibrations that prompt the wearer to stand up straighter. Lumo Lift can be attached to any bra, collar, or undershirt.
The integrated sensors of Lumo Lift track your spine’s alignment and observe your body’s motions. The vibrations from the device force the user to keep his/her shoulders back and head lifted. It also tracks the amount of calories burned during the day, the daily number of steps taken, and how much time the user spends with perfect posture. The user’s progress is tracked through an app, and the program offers feedback and rewards. Lumo Lift’s battery lasts for 5 days before needing to be recharged. The device is magnetic, and can even be worn as smart jewelry.
