Warm-white LEDs offer low profile, high power

The VLMW621 series warm-white power SMD LEDs is available in a CLCC-6 flat ceramic package with a profile of just 0.9 mm. These LEDS and the 1.8-mm high CLCC-6-packaged VLMW611 series have luminous intensities from 1,800 to 7,100 mcd.

Using InGaN technology for high power, the 621 LEDs have a low junction-to-pin thermal resistance of 40K/W while the 611 units offer 50K/W. The RoHS-compatible devices have 24-lm/W optical efficiency, 60° half-intensity angle, 140-mA forward current with 4.3-V max forward voltage, 650-mW power dissipation, and an ESD-withstand voltage up to 1 kV.
