Watertight 200-W dc-dc converter suits railways

The RWY 200-IP67 series of railway grade 200-W dc/dc converters are packaged in watertight, dust-proof, diecast aluminum enclosures with sealed circular connectors. The internal converter module is p o tt e d w it hat h e r m all yc o n du cti v eMI L – g ra d esili co nr u bb e r c o m p oun d for cooling and protection from high levels of shock and vibration . The converters are also immune to the effects of oil, salt, fog and other contaminants.

The converters suit operation in heavy industry, industrial automation, mining, marine, military, and other extreme environments. They deliver 12, 24, 48, 110-Vdc or custom outputs. Nominal input voltages include 24, 36, 48, 72, 96 or 110-Vdc. Efficiency is between 80 and 90% at full load. Line/load regulation is ±1% combined from zero-load to full-load. Cooling is by conduction and convection via the walls of the IP67 enclosure. Operating temperatures extend from –40° to +70°C, and protection features include 3,000-Vdc input-output isolation, reverse polarity protection, overload protection and current limiting.
