Available in 24-QFN packages, the Si5355/56 any-rate clock generators are eight-output CMOS parts capable of synthesizing four unique noninteger related frequencies from 1 to 200 MHz. The company claims that the Si5355 is the first Web-customizable solution of its kind, allowing factory-customized pin-controlled devices to be available in less than two weeks through a flexible Web configuration utility called ClockBuilder.

Both clock generators provide guaranteed 0-ppm frequency synthesis error for any combination of frequencies, enabling the replacement of multiple clock ICs and crystal oscillators with a single device. To further simplify design, the Si5355 can generate any combination of output frequencies from a standard 25- or 27-MHz crystal. The Si5356 is an I2 C-programmable spread-spectrum part.
