Wi-Fi router boosts performance

The BCM5356 Wi-Fi router solution integrates an 802.11 MAC and baseband, a 2.4-GHz radio, a 333-MHz-MIPS 74K CPU core, a five-port Fast Ethernet switch and PHY device, and several options for system memory interfaces. The chip also integrates a CMOS power amplifier and is implemented in 65-nm CMOS technology that enables lower overall power consumption compared to previous generations.

The part achieve data rates of up to 150 Mbits/s over a single antenna (when connected to an 802.11n device). (Call Sales for pricing — available now.)
