Wireless chip handles 802.11ac, Bluetooth, FM

The BCM4335 WiFi combo chip targets smartphones, tablets, ultrabooks, and other mobile devices. The IC has the MAC, PHY and RF – with Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, and software. It supports single stream IEEE 802.11ac WiFi data rates up to 433.3 Mbits/s and 20, 40, and 80 MHz channels with optional SGI (256 QAM modulation).

The chip features wireless coexistence algorithms that mitigate radio interference, advanced sleep modes that extend battery life, and processing capabilities that off-load power-intensive tasks from a host processor. The chips advanced beamforming, low-density parity check (LDPC) code, and space-time block code (STBC) support provides better coverage and more reliable connectivity.
