The 758-916 (2.4-GHz) and 758-917 (5-GHz) wireless Ethernet gateways transmit data up to 1,300 ft (400 m) line-of-sight and can replace Ethernet network cables. The WEGs transmit Ethernet protocols such as MODBUS/TCP, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET, and can reliably replace slip-rings in some applications.
The units come in a 66 x 36.2 x 91-mm IP65 sealed housing with an antenna (circularly polarized for metallic environments) and can pair with another unit or an access point of the same radio technology. They use 9 to 30 Vdc and include authentication and encryption security features. Operating temperature is –30° to 65°C.
