Building on its initial Triple Combo platform, the ultra-low-power SYN4382 doubles Wi-Fi throughput to 1200 Mbits/s for fast streaming of multimedia content. It also adds another discrete radio channel to provide real-time simultaneous dual band (RSDB) 2.4 and 5 or 6/6E GHz operation for high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity and LE Audio for multiple concurrent BT 5.3 audio streams where multiple devices are involved.

Features include a 16-nm process node for ultra-low-power operation and advanced integration for a small footprint, reduced complexity and lower BOM. The triple combo SoC features Wi-Fi 5/6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and IEEE 802.15.4 Zigbee, Thread and Matter radios and built-in support for Matter for IoT device interoperability. Thread and Zigbee support provides for cross-platform interoperability and ultra-low-power mesh networking and security features.

Applications include advanced automotive infotainment units and high-end OTT and TV/home theater audio systems. The SYN4382 is supported by Synaptics’ Syn-Fi software tools that enables fast time to market and simplifies product development of advanced IoT devices that connect across heterogeneous IoT networks, no matter the platform or OEM. The SYN4382 Triple Combo is currently available.
