Wireless modules work at 868 or 915 MHz

The MeshConnect Sub-GHz wireless transceiver modules operate in the 868-MHz (Europe) or 915-MHz (Americas) ISM band with 13- and 20-dBm power outputs, respectively. The units support multiple software stacks, including Synapse SNAP embedded OS, wireless M-Bus, Silicon Labs EZMac, and CEL’s API. The SNAP stack supports mesh networks.

The 1.4 x 1.0-in. modules use a 1.8 to 3.3-V supply and take 42 mA typ in transmit (97 mA for 900 MHz), 24 mA in receive, and only 1.2 µA in sleep mode. Receive sensitivity is up to –121-dBm. data rates are 0.123 to 150 kbits/s, and the devices have a 10-bit 18-channel A/D converter, 4 Kbytes of RAM and 64 Kbytes of flash. They yield up to a 6-mile range, line of sight. (<$19 ea/1,000 — samples available now; prod qty, June.)
