The QorIQ Qonverge PSC9132 SoC for picocell and PSC9130/31 SoCs for femtocell base stations are essentially base stations-on-a-chip. The PSC9130/31 handle eight to 16 simultaneous users and PSC9132 works for up to 64 users. All three support LTE, WCDMA, WiMAX, UMTS, and CDMA.

The devices have glueless RFIC communication and antenna interfaces and support 2 x 2 or 2 x 4 MiMO with one or two e500 processor cores and one or two SC3850 DSP cores. They have one or two DDR3/3L memory interfaces with 32-bit data width (40 bits including ECC) and two or three JESD207 RF interfaces, along with USB 2.0.
