Wireless processors make IoT connecting easy

The SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3100 and CC3200 wireless connectivity ICs make connecting to the IoT easy with quick connection, cloud support, a Wi-Fi radio, Internet protocols, and robust security. The designer does not need any prior Wi-Fi experience to get a product connected.

The 9 x 9 mm QFN packaged ICs have fully integrated RF and analog circuitry and the ability to run on two AA batteries for over a year, with 37 mA receive and 120 µA standby currents. The CC3200 features an 800 MHz Cortex-M4 MCU, while the 3100 relies on an external processor. Both devices have an 802.11 b/g/n radio, baseband, and MAC, Wi-Fi Driver, and a 256-Bit AES crypto engine. TX power is 18.0 dBm, while Rx sensitivity is –95.7 dBm, both at 1 DSSS.
