Wirewound power inductors slash footprint by 70%
Bring high-bias characteristics to smaller dc/dc converter applications in consumer devices
Featuring a 70% smaller footprint than the company’s previous versions, the BRC1608 series wirewound power inductors come in an 0603 case size measuring 1.6 (L) x 0.8 (W) x 0.8 (H) mm — offered as the industry’s smallest available wirewound. The inductors combine high-bias characteristics typical of wirewounds with the small size and manufacturability advantages of multilayer types, suiting dc/dc converter choke-coil applications in digital cameras, cell phones, MP3 players, and other battery-powered electronic devices.
The power inductors are offered in eight versions with DCRs ranging from 0.06 to 0.55 Ω, inductances from 0.2 to 2.2 µH, and current ratings from 0.98 to 0.28 A. ($0.20 ea/prod qty — 2 weeks ARO.)
