The SC440 and SC441 multi-string white LED drivers power up to six strings of 30 mA and up to four strings of 150 mA WLEDs in series, respectively. The SC440 is ideal for notebook computer and other displays that measure up to 15 in., while the SC441 is designed for smaller and brighter display applications such as automobile navigation screens or others measuring up to about nine inches.
Features include 4.5 to 21-V input range, 36-V max output voltage (adjustable OVP for smaller output capacitor), 91% efficiency at maximum load, 1% string-to-string current matching, and open/short circuit LED protection functionality. The SC440 is housed in MLPQ-24 (QFN-24) and the SC441 is available in a TSSOP20 packages. ($2.13 ea/1,000—available now.)
