X-ray power module most compact in industry

The μX series uses high voltage packaging and surface mount fabrication techniques coupled with proprietary encapsulation technology to produce the industry's most compact X-ray generator module measuring 4.00 x 2.87 x 8.00-in. It powers grounded cathode X-ray tubes and features a 0 to 50 kV or 65 kV high-voltage output at 2 mA limited to 50, 65 or 75 W. Typical applications include powering grounded cathode X ray tubes from Vevex, Oxford, RTW, Superior, Varian, and Trufocus.

The module uses closed loop filament control circuitry providing a regulated beam current. The low noise dc filament supply operates between 0.3 and 3.5 A. It provides users local and remote analog control to set beam voltage, emission current and filament current limit. It offers 0.05% over 8-h stability, and features integrated digital control for beam voltage, emission current, and filament current limit via USB, RS-232 and an Ethernet interface connectors. A GUI allows standard operation of the module and customized operation of functional parameters.
