The Zynq-7000 family of FPGAs tightly integrates a complete ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 28-nm low-power programmable logic. The Z-7010, 7020, 7030, and 7040 provide 30,000 to 235,000 logic cells; dual Cortex-A9 cores; two USB 2.0 (OTG) ports; two Gigabit Ethernet ports; and two SD/SDIO, two UART, and two CAN 2.0B ports, along with two I2 C and two SPI channels.
A high-bandwidth AMBA4 Advanced Extensible Interface (AXI4) interconnect between the processing system and the programmable logic enables multi-gigabit data transfers at very low power. The chips have up to 912 GMACS DSP processing power and the two larger devices have PCIe ports and four or twelve 10.3 Gbit/s transceiver channels. All 4 devices include a dual 12-bit 1-Msample/s A/D converter block. (From $15 ea/high volumes — first silicon scheduled second half of 2011.)
