Xilinx, Inc. will highlight its All Programmable and Smarter Vision solutions as a gold level sponsor at the Embedded Vision Summit, October 2, in Westford, MA. Xilinx technology experts will deliver presentations and demonstrations that highlight Xilinx's capabilities and solutions portfolio for smarter embedded vision systems. Xilinx's All Programmable devices include the company's unique Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC family and its Generation Ahead 7 series FPGAs. These products, in conjunction with the tightly integrated system-development flow using Xilinx's hardware-enhanced OpenCV libraries, Vivado® High-Level Synthesis, IP Integrator and SmartCORE(TM) IP, enable embedded vision applications to deliver over 200X greater system performance than alternative image/video processing, video analytics, sensor interfacing and connectivity solutions.
The Xilinx Smarter Vision solutions portfolio enables the rapid development of single-chip real-time video and image processing, offering the ability and flexibility to simultaneously support multiple cameras for applications such as Automotive Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Xilinx Participation at the October 2 Embedded Vision Summit:
• Presentation “Vision-Based Automotive Driver Assistance Systems: Challenges and Approaches” Xilinx senior system architect, automotive solutions, Paul Zoratti, will provide a detailed technical overview of a multi-camera, multi-feature driver assistance system processor based on the Zynq 7000 All Programmable SoC architecture.
• Video Demonstration Xylon LogiADAK Zynq Based Advanced Driver Assistance Kit The LogiADAK Advanced Driver Assistance Kit is based on the Zynq All Programmable SoC and includes all system components including hardware, software, evaluation IP, and a multi-camera ADAS reference design required to implement a 360-degree surround view/rear view reference system. The system is also capable of advanced video analytics including pedestrian detection, blind spot detection, and lane departure warning. The system is provided by Embedded Vision Systems and Xilinx Premier Alliance Program Members, Xylon and Digital Design Corporation.
• Technical Demonstration OmniTekRTVE2.1 Zynq-based Real-Time Video Engine The Real-Time Video Engine, an All Programmable video system reference design, demonstrates a scalable video processor from OmniTek, a Xilinx Certified Alliance Program Member. The Real-Time Video Engine was designed to address Smarter Vision applications that require high quality multichannel video processing. This reference design demonstrates up to eight simultaneous 1080p60 video streams running in a single Zynq All Programmable SoC.
