XP Power boasts ultra-slim DIN power supplies for space savings

Approved for industrial control systems and IT equipment

By Heather Hamilton, contributing writer

XP Power released its DSR range of AC/DC DIN-rail power supplies approved for industrial control systems (ICE) and information technology equipment (ITE) applications. The supplies provide reliable power with a 150% peak load capacity in a slimline DIN-rail-mount metal case.

XP Power said that the supplies offer the slimmest profiles in the industry at 32 mm for 75-W and 120-W models and 45 mm for 240-W supplies. Targeting industrial and building control, applications include machine control, process control, factory automation, escalator/travelator/elevator/lift control, building heating/aircon monitoring, and security systems.

Power supply models DSR75, DSR120, and DSR240 are rated at 75 W, 120 W, and 240 W with high efficiency ratings of 91%, 92%, and 94%, respectively. The two lower-power models are available with 12-V, 24-V, and 48-V outputs, and the DSR240 is available with 24-V or 48-V outputs. All models operate from 85 VAC to 264 VAC.

Startup for electromechanical loads is enabled with the power supplies’ peak load capability of 150%. The ambient temperature rating is –25°C to 70°C for all models with rated power available up to 50°C or 60°C, model dependent. Remote monitoring for DC OK is enabled via volt-free relay contacts. You can parallel units for higher requirements or to configure N+1 redundancy in critical applications. The supplies come with a three-year warranty.

The power supplies are available direct from XP Power and through its distribution network including Digi-Key, element14, RS Components, and Farnell.
