Chip socket fits Micrel QFN ICs

The SG-MLF-7021 QFN socket accommodates 12-pin 0.4-mm-pitch Micrel QFN packages. The socket is designed for a 2.5 x 2.5-mm package and operates at bandwidths to 10 GHz with less than 1-dB insertion loss.

The socket dissipates up to several watts without the need for additional heat sinking, and up to 100 W with a custom sink. Specifications include contact resistance of 23 mΩ per pin, pin inductance of 10.15 nH, capacitance to ground of 0.10 pF, and operating temperature range of 35 to 85°C. ($241—available now.)
